203 An Inconvenient Lie 10/14/07
Dexter stalks his latest victim: a murderer so vile he could only be a used-car salesman. Dexter finds the man’s smooth-talking charm and effortless lying are things that he himself is lacking these days. In fact, Dexter’s inability to lie to Rita about his midnight activities has caused her to think that he’s a drug addict, and if he doesn’t commit to a 12-step program to deal with his addiction, she threatens to leave him.

204 See-Through 10/21/07
While pretending to be a drug addict, Dexter gets an N.A. sponsor to please Rita. But when the sponsor turns out to be a beautiful woman who may have more in common with Dexter, Rita is not happy. Things get worse for Rita when her estranged mother comes for a visit. Meanwhile, Dexter must find a way to lead the all-too-smart FBI Agent Lundy, now working with Miami Metro PD, off his trail.

205 The Dark Defender 10/28/07
Dexter discovers the man who killed his mother, before his young eyes, is still alive. When he shares this information with Lila, she suggests he face the man, as part of his “steps” to addiction recovery. And as his sponsor she insists on tagging along. But when Dexter finds his mother’s murderer, his killer urges push him back to the knife’s edge.

206 Dex, Lies, And Videotape 11/04/07
Dexter is none too pleased to discover a copy-cat killer has started his own attempt at vigilante serial murder in Miami. He is even less pleased to learn the new killer claims to be inspired by the “Bay Harbor Butcher.” As Dexter sets out to stop the imposter, he finds himself drawn into the arms of Lila. When Rita discovers the truth, it could be the end of their relationship.

207 That Night, A Forest Grew 11/11/07
A written manifesto from the “Bay Harbor Butcher” sends the Special Task Force in charge of capturing the killer into chaos. All part of Dexter’s plan as he tries to be more “pro-active” in keeping Agent Lundy off his tail. But things start to spiral downward for Dexter as Lila’s influence begins to take its toll on Dexter’s personal life.

208 Morning Comes 11/18/07
After a fire at Lila’s place, Dexter finds her becoming more attached to him than he is comfortable with. Meanwhile, Dexter decides “recovery” isn’t working for him and pays a second visit to the man who murdered his mother. At the station, Debra and Lundy find a clue that points to the Bay Harbor Butcher being right under their noses.

209 Resistance Is Futile 11/25/07
As Dexter tries to distance himself from Lila, he discovers she is not so willing to let go of their relationship. Meanwhile Lundy’s manhunt for the Bay Harbor Butcher starts to make Dexter nervous as he tries to stay one step ahead. However, in the end it is Dexter’s worst enemy who discovers his secret first.

Dexter finds himself with the upper hand when Doakes tracks him to his latest kill. But when Doakes reveals a secret about Harry’s past, Dexter’s world comes crumbling down.  Earl Hickey (Jason Lee), once a guy who did a lot of bad things, is now a firm believer in karma and seeks to right the wrongs he once committed.

When we last saw Earl, he was finally getting his life together. He landed a sales job, got an apartment, obtained a GED, and even had a girlfriend. Then, his pregnant ex-wife, Joy (Emmy winner Jaime Pressly), was facing mandatory time in prison for stealing a truck. This would have been Joy’s third strike. Earl did not want Joy to have to leave her family, so he took the blame for the crime and ended up getting sentenced to two years in prison.

My Name is Earl will be back with all new episodes beginning on Thursday, September 27^th at 8/7c on NBC. The season premiere will be one hour long. Here are some spoilers for the new season of My Name is Earl.

The third season will have Earl in prison. According to executive producer, Greg Garcia, “We’re not gonna come back on episode 1 and suddenly he’s pardoned. We’re not gonna buy it all back. We’re going to take advantage of where we put him and have some fun with it. We promise not to gyp the viewers; this wasn’t a dream sequence. He’s actually going to jail!” Earl will begin his jail sentence and find out quickly that life is not easy behind bars. He will continually try to find the best approach to surviving in this new environment. In prison, Earl will be sought out by a bully who has spent most of his life behind bars because of Earl.

There are going to be some new faces on My Name is Earl this season. With Earl in his new environment, prison, there are going to be many new faces for this season. Michael Rapaport (The War at Home, Boston Public) will play a fellow inmate of Earl’s in prison named Frank. Garcia says, “I have always wanted him to do a guest spot on ‘Earl’ and not that he had the time, we found the ideal role for him. He fits perfectly into our world and we’re very excited to have him join us.”

Cities of the Underworld - Hitlers Underground Lair S01E03

There are remnants of a dark past concealed beneath Berlin’s concrete streets and graffiti adorned architecture. There are still over a thousand Nazi bunkers engineered into the city’s sandy soil. Oddly enough, these lost remnants of Hitler’s ill-fated Germania were initially inspired by underground beer brewing plants. In this fascinating instalment of ‘Cities of the Underworld’, we join host Eric Geller as he travels through the dark and damp recesses of Berlin’s secretive soil.

Geller examines the history of Adolf Hitler’s Fuehrerbunker, the concrete complex of subterranean rooms which housed Hitler, his fellow Nazi leaders and his staff during the frantic final months of the Second World War. In April 1945, as Berlin was encircled by Soviet troops, Hitler committed suicide in his underground hideaway. The following day, Joseph and Magda Goebbels poisoned all of their children and committed suicide themselves.

Although Russian forces attempted to blow up the bunker in 1947, it proved to be fairly indestructible. Indeed, the East German communist government tried unsuccessfully to destroy it again in 1959. Its close proximity to the Berlin Wall meant that the site was undeveloped and neglected until after 1990’s reunification had taken place. Several parts of the bunker were unearthed during the construction of residential housing; in 1990, the bunker was reopened and photographed.

Government authorities are still rightly concerned about the site attracting unwanted adulation from Neo-Nazi groups. It is for this reason that the surroundings remain anonymous and largely unmarked. Many Berliners and visitors do not realise that history’s most infamous war bunker lies below the grey communist-era architecture. This programme gives viewers a unique insight into the underground labyrinth that occupies a key position in the history of the Second World War.

Cities of the Underworld - Romes Hidden Empire S01E04

The city is a place where the past meets the present on every road, as well as below them. A journey beneath Rome’s sophisticated sun drenched streets reveals a staggeringly interesting secret history. Infamous Roman emperors such as Caesar, Augustus and Nero have each left their marks on the city - and left remnants of their reigns underground.

Attractions such as the twelfth century Notre Dame Cathedral and the picturesque, romantic streets. The distinctive Eiffel Tower, erected as part of the 1889 Universal Exposition, still dominates the city’s twinkling skyline.

Yet a disturbing alternative world lurks below the sophisticated streets of this cosmopolitan capital. In this ghoulish episode of ‘Cities of the Underworld’, Eric Geller gradually peels away the layers of time to access the dark subterranean secrets which lurk below even the most charming and genteel Parisian districts.

In this fascinating programme, presenter Eric Geller gives viewers an Eiffel of Paris’s subterranean delights. He unveils crypts filled with the bones of former residents, ancient waterfronts, waste-filled sewers, and hundreds of miles of labyrinthine limestone tunnels.

Our intrepid presenter visits the Denfert-Rochereau Ossuary, the ‘empire of the dead’ where over seven million Parisian skeletons are buried. As the city’s population expanded, the bones were placed here as over ground cemeteries reached their capacity. The disinterred remains are neatly stacked and aligned to form the walls of almost a kilometre of walking passage.

The process of moving the bones began in 1786, three years before Paris erupted into a storm of tumultuous and world-changing revolutionary fervour. The process of disinterring the bones from the cemeteries, moving them into the limestone quarries, and arranging them there took a number of decades. By the time this lengthy relocation process had been completed in 1860, five to six million skeletons had been moved to these creepy catacombs.

Geller investigates the numerous spooky stories which visitors to the ‘empire of the dead’ have to tell, and takes us on a comprehensive - and frequently unsettling – tour through the city’s sinister subterranean underside.

Cities of the Underworld - City of Caves S01E06

Budapest is a burgeoning Eastern European metropolis with a rich and exciting history. Hungary’s capital possesses a complex identity, poised midway between western luxury and simple eastern tradition. With its leafy avenues, elaborate bathhouses and attractive parks, the Pearl of the Danube continues to enchant and impress visitors.

The Romans settled in Budapest in the first century; they introduced modern architectural techniques such as the use of column, stone, plaster and arches. They also made abundant and impressive use of the thermal springs which lie under the city, creating the very first public baths. Indeed, Budapest was known as Aquincum during Roman times.

Some 500 years later, the Magyars – founders of the Hungarian nation – arrived on the scene. Subsequently, the city underwent invasions from the Mongols and the Turks. In the seventeenth century, Hungary became a province of the Hapsburg Empire.

After the First World War, Budapest emerged as the capital of a country only one third of its pre-war size, while the Second World War wrought major destruction upon the city. The 1956 uprising against post-war communist rule, and the collapse of the Soviet style regime in 1989, are also key moments in the city’s often embittered history. Today, Budapest is a modern, friendly and striking city.

Yet Budapest is perched precariously atop an ancient secret. During the ice age, a cavernous underground complex was formed beneath ground level. Subsequently, everybody from the cavemen to the communists have moved their city into the murky depths of this parallel world.

We join charismatic host Eric Geller as he reopens the sealed time capsule that lies beneath Budapest’s higgledy piggledy streets. Geller unearths a top secret Second World War era hospital; he also locates the source of the boiling healing water used by both the Romans and the Turks. New York is a major American metropolitan centre with a rich and interesting history. The City That Never Sleeps is the most populous city in the USA, and also one of the world’s most important business, financial and cultural hubs. The Big Apple is also crammed with iconic architecture and world famous tourist sites. The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are just the tip of the touristic iceberg.

In this incredible episode of ‘Cities of the Underworld’, Eric Geller reveals that the underground of the twenty-four hour city also refuses to sleep. New York’s underworld is a living, breathing tangle of engineering, history, and secrets. Every year, over a billion people ride on the city’s legendary subway system, but there is a whole world beneath the city that no one gets to see. Top secret tunnels, subterranean mega structures – and even forts dating back to the 1600s – can be found lurking below the crowded city streets.

Grand Central is the largest and busiest train terminal in the world. Over 700,000 commuters pass through its historic main concourse every day. Yet even native New Yorkers do not know that beneath the station there is an elaborate world of abandoned ghost tunnels and hi-tech nerve centres.

There is also a room that was so top-secret during the Second World War that anybody caught inside it would have been shot on sight. The 80,000 square foot basement was the main power centre for Grand Central Terminal. A successful sabotage attempt would have stopped all troop movements and all war material movements.

Our host also unveils an off-limits train station located below one on New York’s most famous hotels. It was originally designed serve just one passenger: President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. London is Europe’s largest city, and is a leading cultural, business and financial centre. The most populous city within the European Union, it has an official population of around eight million people. An international transport hub and major tourist destination, for centuries it has been one of the most powerful cities in the world.

Above ground, London allows the eager visitor to feast upon a cornucopia of touristic treats. The city is a network of world heritage sites and towering landmarks such as Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. The British Museum, the National Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum are among a host of cultural and artistic attractions.

Yet another world lurks beneath the city’s congested roads, rainy streets and grey pavements. In this instalment of ‘Cities of the Underworld’, Eric Geller reveals a hidden warren of Roman baths, secret crypts, lost rivers and indestructible bunkers. Eric discovers the subterranean secrets found below all of London’s most famous landmarks.

The majority of people believe that London only has one river: The Thames. But a number of tributaries that were once open streams and rivers are now hidden beneath the city streets, diverted into sewers, drains and culverts. The Fleet – which gave its name to Fleet Street in EC4 - is the most famous of these ‘lost rivers’. It rises in Hampstead in the north and flows underground through Kentish Town and King’s Cross, to join the Thames near Blackfriars Bridge. In mediaeval times the river was central to a number of trades. Tanneries and slaughterhouses lined the banks of the Fleet; the dyes and blood turned the river various shades of red.

As our expert host slowly peels back the layers of time, he reveals Winston Churchill’s famous Cabinet War Rooms. This vast complex of secret bunkers was constructed beneath the streets of London during the Second World War. For the British prime minister and his cabinet, the rooms provided an invaluable refuge from the nightly onslaught Nazi air raids.

Cities of the Underworld - Beneath Vesuvius S01E09

Naples is a striking and culturally rich Italian city. It is the capital city of the Campania region and the province of Naples, and has a population of around one million. The busy city is bursting at the seams with history, and its streets are filled with monuments and churches.

Naples narrowly escaped meeting the same fate as its neighbouring city, Pompeii, in 79 AD when Mount Vesuvius wiped out everything around it. The wind saved Naples that day, but life in the shadow of this massive volcano is unlike any other.

The city occupies a unique and precarious position in Italian geography. It is situated midway between the active volcano Vesuvius and a separate volcanic area, the Campi Flegrei (or ‘fiery fields’). Together, these components form part of the Campanian volcanic arc. This geothermal area runs from Vesuvius itself beneath a wide area including Pompei, Herculaneum, Naples, Pozzouli and the coastal Baia area. Over the course of several millennia, mining and various infrastructure projects have formed extensive, labyrinthine caves and underground structures in the zone.

For centuries, Neapolitans have carved out their underground, creating a parallel world where their secrets are safe. Entire neighbourhoods line the underworld, time capsules of ancient life - with banks, bakeries and homes preserved below. In subterranean Naples, there are old Greco-Roman reservoirs dug out from stone, as well as enormous and cavernous catacombs. During the Second World War, these tunnels were used air raid shelters; their walls still bear inscriptions which depict the suffering endured by ordinary Italian citizens as the world went mad around them.

From delving into an ancient Greek cavern to uncovering Nero’s famous stage underneath a modern apartment, Don Wildman steps back almost 2000 years to discover the world beneath the volcano.

This installation is the complete Windows XP SP2 Professional.

This is an unattended or ’silent’ install. Only install this
edition of XP onto a freshly formatted partition or hard disk
drive. You can do this by setting your computer’s BIOS to boot
from your DVD drive first (before any hard drives etc). You can
usually access your BIOS by pressing F2 or Delete as the computer
is starting up, just after the first system beep, tap the relevant
key a few times and you can access the BIOS. Then look under the
various categories in your BIOS to find the boot sequence. As In
many cases, your computer may be set to boot from your DVD drive
already.

This edition includes all “Bashrat the Sneaky” driver packs. This means
you will have September 2006 (or the latest up to that time) drivers,
automatically installed on installation of XP for the following devices:
CPU, Chipset, LAN, SATA, Sound, Video and Wireless LAN. The inclusion of
SATA drivers means that you no longer need a floppy disk to install Windows
onto a SATA hard drive! All credit has to go to “Bashrat the Sneaky” for
accomplishing this - until Bashrat made this as easy as he has done, SATA
and unattended installations just did not mix well (pressing F6 is no use
usually) unless you happen to be very clever with unattended installations
and happen to know how to configure them. This installation covers dozens
upon dozens of devices that you will have the drivers already installed for
automatically, no need to go hunting around for your driver discs or as is
usually the case, trying to access the internet to download Ethernet Card
drivers when you cannot access the internet because your Ethernet Card has
not had its drivers installed - see the problem there? Indeed, an impossible
situation to say the least. Now there is no need to even think about worrying!

[Some notes about these programs]

All of the programs above are ready to install and are
silent (automated) installs. You will need to have this
DVD in your DVD drive for the programs to be installed.
If you want, you can copy the folder called EXP_SOFT from
the DVD to the root of any of your hard drives and it will
then allow you to install anything you want without having
to have the DVD in your DVD drive. These programs are accessed
by double clicking the Install Programs icon that is on the
Desktop upon the installation of XP. When you double click
this icon, you will then be presented with the Windows Post
Install wizard, a two page list (at 1024 x 768) of categorized
programs with a tickbox next to each program. To find out exactly
what each program does and to see its features, simply hover your
mouse over any of the programs in the Windows Post Install wizard.

To install a program, just tick its box, or any combination of
boxes you wish and then click the Begin Install button. You will
notice on the Windows Post Install wizard, that each sub category
(in capital letters) has a tickbox of its own. If you want to install
every program in a particular category, just tick the box and it will
select all programs in that category. Note: Whilst programs are
installing automatically, do not use your PC until the installs are
finished! This is because on some programs, the serial is filled in,
in real time from your keyboard, plus the mouse is used (example:
Acrobat Professional, Photoshop CS2, Cubase SX). So if you are typing
a letter or even just browsing around your folders, or surfing the
internet, this WILL CERTAINLY MESS UP certain installs, they need to
have your mouse and keyboard free in order to work, so again, do not
touch your PC whilst the programs are installing! One last time…

DO NOT USE YOUR PC UNTIL THE INSTALLS HAVE FINISHED!

In the EXTRA folder on the DVD, you will see a folder called
“eXPerience - UNINSTALL ANY PORTABLE PROGRAMS”. This folder
contains all the scripts you can use to uninstall any programs
that do not appear under “Add/Remove Programs”. These do not
appear there because they are “standalone” or “portable” programs
and are in fact not installed, only copied to your Program Files
folder. Please read the “PLEASE READ THIS” file for more information.

When you uninstall a program that is there under “Add/Remove Programs”
it might leave behind an icon in your Quick Launch next to the start
button. Also, it might leave shortcuts on your start menu, for example,
“Adobe Acrobat Professional” does this. This happens because when
certain programs are installed, part of the installation process is
to tidy up the mess some programs make, so this means, when you use
the official uninstaller under “Add/Remove Programs” it does not know
to remove the (sometimes renamed) shortcuts, plus, some programs did
not “install” an icon into the Quick Launch so again, when you uninstall
these with the official uninstaller under “Add/Remove Programs” it does
not remove the icon from Quick Launch because it never put one there
when it installed! This means that if you reboot after uninstalling
certain programs you will have the “missing shortcut” icon. If you click
any of these icons, Windows will tell you the program is missing and ask
if you would like to remove the shortcut so, in this case, just say “Yes”
and it will then be removed. Under the Start Menu, again if you uninstall
a program the proper way under “Add/Remove Programs” then it might leave
its folder on the Start Menu under “All Programs”. Just delete the Start
Menu folder if this happens. In most cases the Start Menu folder is removed
automatically but the Quick Launch icon is not removed. These are easy to
distinguish, they have the blank white square icon (missing program) and
are easily removed by just clicking them once and saying yes when Windows
asks you if you would like to delete the shortcut.

A few of these programs require the .NET Framework v2.0. These include
“Paint .NET”, “nLite”, “Media Portal” and maybe a few others. When these
install, the specially made eXPerience scripts that install these programs
will automatically check to see if the .NET Framework v2.0 is installed or
not. If it is not installed and you chose a program that requires this,
then the installation will first install the .NET Framework. So, if it seems
like a very small program like “nLite” is taking a long time to install, do
not worry, it is because the installation is silently installing the .NET
Framework for you because the smaller program requires it. This works the
same way for programs that require Java. If you choose to install Java
(or the .NET Framework) and they already are installed, the Windows Post
Install wizard will simply skip it and go on to the next install.

There is only one program out of these 150 programs that is not registered
on installation - Sony Sound Forge 7.0. All you need to do to register this
program, is make a key with the key maker which is provided on the Start
Menu under “Sony”.

This edition has all the bug fixes and a few extra programs included. It also installs directly from the DVD - no installation files are copied to the Hard Drive that would need to be deleted later…..except some extra proggies in the ‘extra proggies’ folder, which will be copied to the root drive during install. This version of XP is specially designed to be a bare bones installation while containing everything you will need. It’s installed size starts at just 30mb making it the ideal version of XP to use if you are planning on installing on to a pen drive.

This special “Vista Edition” includes a complete set of drivers totalling
about 255Mb of the 696Mb size of the ISO. The actual size for Windows on
its own on the ISO image is roughly 320Mb. The included drivers are all
integrated so that your devices (see details below for included drivers)
will be working on installation. Driver packs used are the Bashrat the
Sneaky’s driver packs, which are finally a solution to unattended SATA
problems that many people seem to have.
